It brings the fan speed to almost ZERO from 100% - the fan is still loud however, but now when I get a call or something it can be turned down !!

I just hooked this in as a quickie test and it works great, it has connections for the + & - on the power side and also + & - on the load side, clearly marked and easy to connect. I did find while testing it does reduce the power draw on the battery - but the silver towers also tend to get a little hot.
